Common questions
How do I find a gym that allows chalk?
Search your city and turn on the Chalk filter. A Yes means the gym says on its own website that chalk is allowed, and the quote and link are on the gym page. Or start with the chalk friendly gyms list.
Does my gym allow chalk?
Many gyms never write the rule down. Check the gym's rules page, search Proof of Chalk, then ask the front desk. Our guide: Does my gym allow chalk?
What does Unverified mean?
The gym has not stated that rule on its website or on a page we cite. It is not a No. Ask before you go.
Can I drop deadlifts at a gym?
Some gyms allow it, often on a platform, and many do not. Use the Drops OK filter and confirm with the gym.
Where do Proof of Chalk's facts come from?
Only the gym's own website or a page we link. Each Yes or No shows the quote, the link and the date. How we verify.
